Another Gloucester, Virginia world premiere, the play is based on the real-life letters of Richard and Mary Watkins from the book Send Me a Pair of Old Boots & Kiss My Little Girls by Jeff Toalson. Facing the perils of childbirth in the 19th Century South, Richard and Mary Watkins seek solace and strength from the struggles of their past.
This production is made possible thanks to funding from the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts
